This is part 3 in a series on Imposter Syndrome. To read part 2, click here.

The worst part about Imposter Syndrome is the emotional side effects.

Those moments of feeling like a fraud, feeling like you’re not enough, can really do damage to your drive in life. It can make you feel like your efforts aren’t wanted or worth it–which can stop you dead in your tracks.

Imposter Syndrome has you believe that your voice in the world doesn’t matter. That you are not special enough to do what you were called to do in the world. That your purpose can wait for someone better suited for the job.

It makes you believe you’re less than, inferior to everyone else. This kind of thinking derails you from making your mark in the world because you don’t believe you have what it takes.

If you believe that you don’t measure up, that you don’t matter, then you’ll stumble along the way to finding your purpose and pursuing it.

You’ll come to believe that your passions can take a back seat to the “real” stuff of life like getting a job, paying the bills, cleaning the house and raising a family. Abandoning the other desires of your heart.

Imposter Syndrome takes a toll on how confident you feel in your skin.

And without confidence to be your authentic self, you won’t believe that the world needs your voice. You won’t believe that you can pursue your purpose and passion and have it mean something to those who witness it.

Rather than hiding away in obscurity, you can be the change you wish to see in the world. You only need to keep pushing past the fear, the lack, the limitations, and the debilitating lie that you’re a fraud.

I want to tell you that the world needs your voice. It needs to hear your message from you.

You have the ability to change the world when you speak your truth.

Let’s explore ways to beat Imposter Syndrome, so you can do just that. Imposter Syndrome doesn’t stand a chance when you’re ready to take it on. Stay tuned for next week’s post.
